Prospect Academy is a proposed K-12 school (beginning with grades 5-12) that will be located in central Jefferson County with a target opening date of August 2021. Prospect Academy will provide innovative and supportive programming for students who have learning differences, including students with level 1 and 2 autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and similar profiles. We have a partnership with Aim Learning Center, an active and operating learning center that provides individual academic support for our target student population; we are building off of their academic model and success with students.
Prospect Academy is founded on the belief that all students, including those who learn differently, can reach their full potential with the right programming and support. We believe that our students’ diagnoses do not preclude students from engaging in rigorous, college-track academics, taking ownership over their learning, and becoming productive members of society who fulfill their personal potential. Our main goal is to give our students the academic and social-emotional skills that will enable them to have a full range of choices for their adult lives. Applied behavior analysis; Precision Teaching social emotional learning; and emotional, mental, and behavioral health supports are all cornerstones of our school and will be seamlessly integrated into all school programming.
