Frequently Asked Questions

We will add to this page as we learn of more questions from families.

Should we still enroll in our current school (or a new school we've found) even though we hope to attend Prospect Academy?

YES. Enroll your child as you normally would in their current school. Prospect Academy’s enrollment process this first year will go beyond May, so it’s important that you have a plan for 2021-22 if a seat at Prospect Academy is unavailable.

What grades will you serve?

We plan to open the school with students in grades 5-12. Eventually, the plan is to serve students in Kindergarten through grade 12.

Where will the school be located?

We have found a building near I70 and Kipling in Arvada. We are currently working on the final details to lease it.

Who are the school's founders?

Prospect Academy’s founders are parents and community members who live in Jefferson County. Most have children on the autism spectrum. Learn more about the founding Board of Directors here.

What can I do to help right now?

There are several ways you can help. We need families to help spread the word about Prospect Academy to other families with children who have learning differences. If you are on a Listserv or part of a Facebook group, please share this information there. That is where families are looking for help and information.

If you’d like to volunteer, we’d love to have you! Please see the opportunities available on our committees.

Is there a cost to attend Prospect Academy?

Prospect Academy is a tuition-free, public charter school.
